Good News Edition!

The news can be pretty depressing so positive stories always grab my attention. This week was particularly good.

World Cup: it’s been great waking up to soccer every morning. Looks like Russia has done a great job and apparently didn’t meddle with the referees.  My favorite thing, however, has been watching players writhing in agony trying to get a foul when the replay shows that no one even touched them. They’re great athletes, but they flop more than Michael Cohen.

Cave Rescue: what an amazing display of teamwork.  People from all over the World pulled together to rescue strangers without regard to borders or politics. And how about that King of Thailand, Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun.  I’m not sure if it’s true, but I heard he was the first person to sign up for online bill pay so he didn’t have to sign checks.

Jungle Karma: Three poachers snuck into a rare rhino preserve with a silenced rifle and an axe (to chop off a rhino’s horn).  The poachers stalked a rhino in a classic 3:1 zone. Unfortunately for them the resident lions were playing man-to-man and ate them.  Investigators found the gun, the axe, and three pairs of boots.  Maybe they should have worn track shoes. Chalk one up for nature.

Finally, Megan Markle news stories were down 50% this week! I’m not sure if I can go an entire week without knowing what she ate for breakfast or how many times she burped on Wednesday, but I will try to get by.

What a great week!
