Daniel Root is a Bakersfield native with deep roots in the Kern County community. Raised in a family of attorneys, Daniel knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in law and serve the community that shaped him.
Daniel graduated from Garces Memorial High School in 2008 before earning his B.A. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Leadership Studies, from the University of San Diego in 2012. He went on to attend the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, where he served as a Primary and Staff Editor for the Pacific McGeorge Global Business & Development Law Journal and participated in the Administrative Law Clinic.
Daniel graduated with honors in 2016, earning concentration certificates in Business Law and Environmental Law. After law school, Daniel returned home to Bakersfield and was admitted to the California Bar in 2016. Since then, he has developed a diverse legal practice across multiple areas of law. Daniel takes pride in advocating effectively for his clients while building strong professional and personal relationships with the individuals and businesses he is honored to represent.
Daniel remains actively involved in the Bakersfield community. He serves as a Mock Trial Attorney Coach for Garces Memorial High School, is a committee member for the Garces Memorial High School Monsignor Leddy Golf Tournament, and serves on the Board of Golden Empire Gleaners. He is also an active member of the Kern County Basque Club and a past Board Member of the Italian Heritage Dante Association. Daniel takes great pride in his Italian and Basque heritage.
Outside the office, Daniel enjoys golf, sports, and entertainment. He considers it a privilege to represent businesses and individuals throughout Kern County and looks forward to continuing his legal career in his hometown
